Cobalt

Cobalt (Co) is necessary for the caecal and colonic microflora to produce vitamin B12. The requirement for cobalt is set to 0.1 mg/kg dry matter in the ration. Cobalt is usually added to commercial compound feeds and mineral mixtures.
