Research on horses

The modern horse has much in common with the old horse. Its anatomy and digestive system is very functional. Modern research builds on the old well-established knowledge but with the help of modern technology you can now better identify and document the processes in the horse's digestive system.

Dag Austbø. Professor in animal nutrition with horses as a speciality. Dag has been an active researcher in horse nutrition during the last 20 years, and teaches horse nutrition at the Norwegian life science university. He is a member of the "Horse nutrition group" in the European Association for Animal Production (EAAP), and has a broad international network.
