More on rations

A deeper understanding of the ration:

1. Too much or too little of a nutrient

A red line in the "Nutrients" box of the ration window signifies a nutrient outside the optimal area. Double-click the line to obtain more information on the tab "Information about ration". You will find a detailed analysis of the ration, the contribution of each feed to the total ration and information about possible consequences of the imbalance and how it can be corrected.

3. Contribution to nutrients in the diet

The tab provides a graphic presentation of the analysis of how the individual feeds in the ration contribute to each of the nutrients. As you gain experience on formulating diets, you will learn which feeds will be best for providing nutrients that may be in short supply in the diet.
