Symbols that show the different feed categories:

locks
A lock signifies that the feed is a branded (commercial) product. Analyses of nutrients are included in PC-Horse. Changes to the nutrient composition of such a feed are not possible. Commercial feeds come in all feed categories (colours). The only feed property that may be changed is the price.

globes
A globe signifies a generic product. Typical generic products are roughages, grains, silages of standard qualities, and minerals or supplements such as salt or molasses. Generic feeds are commonly used as templates for your own hay or silage.

stars
A star signifies a feed that you have defined yourself. It can be a home-grown feed, a feed that you have bought directly from a farm or a commercial product that you have entered into PC-Horse based on information obtained from the producers.
